INHERITANCE
Inheritance in Islam is such a problematic topic when people talk about it. The fact that Islam demands that woman take half the man is driving women crazy, ehm, and some men too.
Will elaborate later but....
If the Coran gave you 1/2 what the man takes when you are staying home, then logically speaking, you deserve NOTHING if you decided to go to the workplace!? Can men go argue like that? Well, if you think this is a valid deduction, then I will stand by you.
Yes, aganist all odds, I stand with Applying the Shari'a to its core, yes, including cutting the theif's hands too.
Mohamed from cairo, aren't you going to reflect on Amin, H. section on cutting the hand in Islam? I think this will be interesting.

So, HAAL is pro applying the Shari'a. I must have been misreading your posts!
Toto, i like the black too, but it killed my eyes and i couldnt find any good colour combination. Mohamed hated the red, and i hated all the other colours..... but will revert back to black once my eyes get better.
I cant believe it, i am explaining why the hell I changed the colours... Guys and gals, none of your business.
In your post you said you support the implementation of the sharia, as oppsoed to impplement parts and leave out parts. That signifies you as an islamic purist, and one who is ready to have the sharia implemented as law and follow it. Or as you put it: "I stand with Applying the Shari'a to its core, yes, including cutting the theif's hands too."
That would make you a purist, because i don't get an fundemnatlist vibes off of you. You are just a muslim who doesn;t want things to be hypocritical so to speak. You want sharia to be implemented and islamic teachings to be followed, no matter what.
This naturally means you are also for the stonning of women who committ adultery, while the men only get lashes. It also means you think gays should be thrown of mountain tops, and women shouldn't walk in the middle of the street, not be anything but fully conservativly dressed or wear perfume for that matter, in order not to entyce the hapless always horny males.
And if you are willing to take it to that extreme and enforcing it on everybody, why not start small and with yourself, with the namas el 7awageb thing? Namas el 7awageb is plucking your eyebrows and drawing them, and according to the prophet, it is Haram to do it on ur own, and la3anat allah goes down on who over does it or helps someone to do it, i.e. you and everyone who ever helped u with ur eyebrows. Sure, the consequence of following this commandment is walking around with a Uni-brow, but i am guessing it's a small price for you to pay in order to remain a purist. So why not start with that first? Start small so to speak, and after you do that for a few months, you can support the implementation of the Sharia fully all you want.
I just want you to set an inspiring example for all of us, u know, so that we all can jump on board that sharia thing with you.
So what do ya say? We have a deal?
I for one, would be a proponent of applying the shari'a, but it doesn't mean that the shari'a will invade my personal space.
Shari'a is not a single monolith of clear-cut laws. We don't get clear-cut ends even for laws we make in this century.
As Mohammad said: "Those things you claim are part of Shari'a, some are very disputable"..and this goes for almost everything. I can only think of it as puritan as the Sandmonkey puts it.
Shari'a is simply law. A law that's built on 'Fiqh' which is 'understanding'. Law is made by humans to govern humans. When any variable changes, the whole equation needs to be re-balanced.
Lastly, it's 'nams' نَمْص. Discussing law while pronouncing the words wrong is not a good idea, and can cause you to loose the cause very quickly. I don't mean to offend, but law, specially fiqh, and language are very much entwined, unless we want Americans to tell us what we believe.
