Any one got the book عزازيل? I will start it this week.

Any recommendation for a good book. Any one reading or read lateral thinking?

I recommend the monk who sold his ferrari... Never mind the naive narration, but the idea is good. can be a tip book.

Attempts to trace the social & political roots of the Egyptian personality (you'll find it in Diwan) - don't know if you'll like it though

And asmahan does make me sad. something in her voice and history touche me and reminds me of something.

CAN IT BE

I was reading Atallah's when I found these words. انا لا أشكو، ففى الشكوى إنحناء و أنا نبض عروقى كبرياء by Kamel el-Shinawy. Can one really live without complaining? I don't know if we can do that. Someone always tells me that you should know exactly where to direct your complains. Don't waste your time asking homage from the servants, go to the owner. Go directly to the source. He would know how to help, otherwise it is a waste of time. I agreed back then, but still had problems. Now I don't agree, and still have the same problems. I tend to conclude that these problems are my destined luggage that I need to get rid of but they are deeply rooted in me. I had to take a dive down. And yes, there is Boss, who isn't really a Boss. P.S. Some of the comments exchanged down here are meant to be funny. Nothing personal. Please continue with the discussion. My pleasure.

PREACHER ON THE SIDE

Why is it that you have a problem with the reviving of Islamic practices? Or is it that you have so much trouble accpeting that there are obligations in Islam that you have trouble abiding to and that is why u have developed this very defensive and also offensive way of thinking? What you question and discuss in ur posts is always contradicting or questioning aggressively about things to do with Islam and those who want to apply it to their lives. You always have this mocking or sarcastic tone. Questiong? Don't we all? But at least we take our questions to those with more knowledge or balash ya setty la7san all those with knowledge are not good enough for you, then what and who is your source? Honestly the way you question things is really (not new to me certainly) very unlikely of a convinced, dedicated Moslem, by that i am not questioning your faith in Allah.
