ISLAMIC SHOP
Never thought I was going to enter this islamic store, or so does everyone call it in the area. Al-tawheed we al-Nour. It was quite an experience. I am heading to France this week so M. asked me for hunting pants that she can wear under her cloths in winter. She wanted them in pure cotton, and pointed me to this tawheed place. So, there I went. Upon entering the place, I thought I was transformed into this new world. A hive, except it is a lazy one. Only crowded. All the sellers are men with the praying sign on their forehead, some with long beards, the plupart majority wearing greyish short pants and weird colour shirts. You can't miss but feel that they all look the same. Of course, the sound of 'iza'et el coran al kareem' was screaming everywhere. Coran, ahadeeth, preaching, all what you want. So I headed to the women section, expecting the sellers to be women. Veiled women. Munaqaba women. Whatever. It is women section for god's sake. Never expected a man to s...

Why not give it a shot. What do u think I wanted to say? You have been picking on my mind a lot lately.
Com'on chicken. Give it a shot. I dare you. DARE U. DARE you little Firy Aries.
By SI I don't mean only bahavior on dates or when in bed. I think it's also way of knowing to deal with the others based on their sex-being. Knowing how to approach sexes differently in each situation.
Haal, I have to give it more thought for a proper thesis, maybe connect it with emotional intelligence a little. We'll see where this leads us.
Sometimes intelligence is a curse.
solve problems.
"Intelligence is usually said to involve mental capabilities such as the ability to reason, plan, solve problems, think abstractly, comprehend ideas and language, and learn."
So where does emotion & sexuality come into this? The ability to reason, plan & solve emotional & sexual problems?Do we really approach love & sex as 'problems' we're required to solve?Should we?
Or do phrases like emotional intelligence & sexual intelligence really come under the heading of abstract thinking? But aren't our emotion & sexuality more about feeling & than thinking?Where is the dividing line between feeling & thinking?Isn't thinking just the mechanism we use to regulate our feelings & instincts & desires?
And learning?Yes anything that gets better with experience involves learning. For sure we become better emotional & sexual beings with experience.
Finally understanding ideas & language?Communication is the word that comes to mind here. The ability to effectively communicate our needs & desires & comprehend the needs & desires of others.
One thing I've always wondered about is this. Understanding ideas & language comes with education. We even use language when talking to ourselves, to better understand ourselves. So does this necessarily mean that people who are better educated must be more sensitive & more 'developed' emotionally, mentally or sexually? Is emotional or sexual intelligence an 'elite' thing? How much is it a class issue?
So many questions ya Loulou. I personally believe that emotions shouldn't be accompanied by thinking, since I guess thinking does some kind of regulation to the emotions, which I believe is not needed.
I agree that it’s communication that is needed, but is intelligence related to our ability to communicate our thoughts, emotions, and desires?!
Yet spontaneity is a very important part in sexual intelligence, too much planning and routine may take away some much needed passion to preserve good SI...
