I am angry at you, Haal! Maybe this will put a smile on your face!

Major kissup here.
Mohamed said…
Actually, this is one of the few posts that I fully understood smoothly :)

Yeah, what's the kissups, seems that we're all TEs after all, eh.
Alina said…
hey, I started the kissup and hid it an I am angry message! Give me some credit people!
Alina said…
If I have 394 TE's reading my blog, can I be a TE? Please?
haal said…
Dear Kayla,

Dont worry, you are a TE by instinct. Maybe more TE than most TEs hehehehe But may I add, TEKU.
Alina said…
What is TEKU?
Al Sharief said…
Com o on! even Mo understood it "smoothly" this time!

Beside, You wished all ,
Happy Venting! & that won't be if you are to defend yourself & get Angrey at all...
Nice set Up G>!?

TEKU. Typical egyptian Kiss up

Al-sharief, no defending of oneself. I was just puzzled, but Mo explained some. So yeah, EVEN Mo understood!:)
zoss said…
I am not angry perse, but rather baffled and turned-off, by the myriad of spelling and grammar mistakes one encounters on the egyptian blogosphere. It is ugly and confusing, not to mention careless and off-putting.

Ok, maybe faulty grammar and the occasional typo can be somewhat excused, but there is no reason for someone to misspell every second word, given the ubiquity of online (and offline) dictionaries and spell-checkers. If one cares about communicating their ideas, I think it's only logical that one should put some time and effort into it.

As long as we are on the topic of putting effort into communication, let me extend this installment of (solicited) bitching to cover one more point. Judging from the time-stamps on some comments, the sheer speed with which they are exchanged is amazing -- especially given the length of some of them. It could only mean one of two things: either one knows what they are talking about, and therefore would have the arguments handy, which is hard to believe is the case all the time. Or, it could be that one's comment is just a knee-jerk reaction, with no regards for the accuracy and clarity of their arguments, and this is precisely what I find objectionable. (Is it me, or is the latter kind more abundant these days?)

One more thing, You guys call this venting? You .. make .. me .. sick! I, for one, haven't got my money's worth yet. Comon, make it interesting!

Haal; my vote is for this to be a periodic feature.
Mohamed said…
Zoss, this was supposed to be venting about Haal, not at the blogosphere :)

Yeah, I think each one should have this feature periodically. Didn't think you were impressed though with my venting on other bloggers.
haal said…
It is not you, Zoss. It is a reflection of a personality and an attitude of who we are. Everything around us here in egypt is mispelled, woolly why would be my posts or arguments be any different. Why if I consistently type a 'p' instead of a 'o', which is so obvious, cant I go back and correct it? Because I dont see that it is annoying in that, plus, people will understand that it is a typo, look at the keyboard and excuse my typing, more important, EVeryone does it, so they are used to it.

It is like yawning. Chain reaction.

The argument part is right on, Zoss. But again, I in my naiive shallow way will attribute it to our culture and the way everything is....Impercise, inaccurate, fast and shallow, elmohem I say something else they think that say 'I lost' the debate! elly teghleboo, tel 3aboo...

I am rambling for sure! early morning and grumpy mood!
haal said…
Mohamed,
Stop whining about ur venting post. You were TE in both posts.A TED, and the other a TEKU, same like your Kayla!
I see you are a good match. Right Kayla!
Mohamed said…
You're right Zoss and Haal, that's the way work is done around here, recklessly. So, the less important someone will think of blogging and of their thoughts expressed on the blogosphere, the less they'll care to be cautious with their typos.

Haal, I might be a TED (whatever that means), but you'd have to lower the standard of a TEKU to consider me one. But we're not talking about me here.
Al Sharief said…
It's substance that matters.
Accept Imperfection...
Take it Eazy Zoss!?
zoss said…
al shareif; I'm so torn between totally ignoring your comment, and between dissecting every erroneous implication therein. The problem is that, to do the latter, I will have to repeat almost every point I made in my earlier comment.

So, instead of endlessly haranguing your comment, I will take your advice to heart --I will take it easy-- and just implore you to re-read my comment, if you wish, in light of yours. If, afterwards, you still have any unresolved issue with what I wrote, please do me a favor and point exactly to what you think is overstated, or superficial, or doesn't deserve a mention -- sparing me the wishy-washy overall assessment, and the meaningless question-mark(s).
Mohamed said…
Zoss, related to punctuations. Do you know why some people intentionally write everything in small letters? I think there is a reason, and a concept behind it, but I never bothered to ask before (or I actually forgot why).

I remember a person who would get mad at people if they capitalize the first letter of her name! I personally don't like people not capitalizing my M.
haal said…
Actually I vote for accuracy in spelling and punctuation. I dont see it as seeking perfection. Maybe it is because everything around is so imperfect that the normal order sounds like 'over-work, unneeded perfection.' So, al-sharief, it is not about 'take it easy.' Plus, if good substance with perfect spelling and punctuation makes it 'easy' and not add to its complication! :)

Zoss, I dont think al-Sharief meant any offense or diminish your comment. He might be taking it 'too easy'. :)

Did I complicate things more?!
Al Sharief said…
You Right on the $$$ hall.
haal said…
I am not HALL, I am HAAL.... Dont take it easy when it comes to my name please :)
Alina said…
Hi Haal! See, I can still get your name right! :) Really miss commenting here but am confident will do so soon! Anything you want to know about troubleshooting antivirus problems??? lol :)
zoss said…
Speaking of name-spelling; I am curious, Haal, to as the way your link to my blog reads ZOSS/SSOZ - Were you being playful, or is there another explanation?
haal said…
Not playful, but made it like this to look like a mirror. I got the impression that you reflect a lot on yourself and thus the mirror like spelling. Hope you are not offended.
zoss said…
No, I was just curious, no offence taken at all. On the contrary, now I appreciate it. You know what would look more like a mirror -not to impose on your way of expression- it's this character '|'

cheers.
haal said…
Yes, it will look like a mirror, but a perfect mirror, and thus a perfect reflection. However, I dont think any human can see a perfect reflection of himself, so the '/' mirror is more real, as insuniate a human err factor. Right?
zoss said…
Right. I like that. I would've thought, however, that the fact that the letters are not reflected themselves implied the imperfection of the image, and that there would be no need to literally tilt the mirror.
Mohamed said…
I can't help but laugh at this mirror conversation :)
haal said…
but the tilting of the mirror will be a reminder that the letters are not reflected right in case you get decieved by the straight mirror. :)

Laughting why MO!
Al Sharief said…
The best I've seen on this mirror business when I was watching Mary Poppins singing on the front of a mirror and then she walked away from the mirror, her image in the mirror was still there singing...
it was great fun to watch ...

What if you have no control over your mirror image? I wonder if such a question help on what they call mirror therapy?

spooookey! ha?
