Wow, I think this pretty much summarizes your general state. I think wanting to be an astronaut could also fit well with this.

So, how is my French? I know, horrible :D

Thanks to Babel Fish translation, I got to know what your post is about. Else, I'd have spent hours translating it myself.

Anyways, I liked the metaphor very much.

Well, I understand French very well and I could respong using the same language if i had too, but i'm no friend of the "Insert Symobl" thingie that I'd have to use for every accent!:))So, I'll say it in English..

I really loved how you described the pre-partum experience. The communication code was the part I liked best, actually! It's odd though, to read about it just at this moment...I'm reading the Children of Dune at the moment and it contains a lot of ideas about experiencing consciousness inside the uterus, about "pre-borns" - as the book calles children who go through this experience.

Thanks, Kayla, and Moon.

Well, kayla sounds like you have been reading lots of interesting stuff lately! Will be interested in reading about this book, and this pre-born experiences!

Moon, your french is cute. My french post is not that good. Kiddish to some degree. so great that you are using this 'fish' translator. But the statment is weird a little :) , what were u trying to say. The mistake is ur translator not in u :)

Well, the book has seven volumes: Dune I, Dune II, Dune Messiah, Children of Dune (the one I am currently reading), God Emperor of Dune, Heretics of Dune and Chapterhouse:Dune. Here's link for you: http://www.dunenovels.com/classic.html - it contains all the details about the author, the books and the books published by Herbert's son (which have just been released on the Romanian market).
Hope you like it :)). The part I like best is about the religion in the Empire (it is an empire of many worlds and planets) and its role in any society. Actually, the Bene Gesserit comunity used something called Missionaria Protectiva - a series of basic myths and beliefs, planted deep inside the history of a world which could be used by any representative of the B.G. in order to get support from that world...
The action is placed after a great war called the Butlerian Jihad, a war between men and machines. So their basic rule was never to built a machine resembling to the human mind. So they created what they called "human computers" a person trained to think, using a perfect logic...
But this is not the place to speak about all these...We'll talk more on this topic if you read the book. :)

Funny, if I hadn't looked for a link for you, I wouldn't have known there's an official Dune site! :))

I've always said I shouldn't depend on technology. It always mess up things :)

I was just saying that I'm not that well in French. But I was very curious to know what that post was about.

Moonlight,

I actually used this translator for spanish.

One funny trick I always used, is to do reverse translation. i.e. use the sentence babel translated and make babel re-translate it back to the origianl language. Bizzare!

Glad that you were curious to read the post. It wrote it when i was a kid. I was curious bardou.

Have fun, enjoy your vacation.
